Popular entertainer Bob Johns is promising at good time at this fundraiser.

Bob Johns and the Chemainus Community Band headline the all-ages 2016 Music Benefit Concert for the United Way and Cowichan Neighbourhood House on Friday, Oct. 21, at the Chemainus United Church starting at 7 p.m.

Johns is best known these days as the vocalist, songwriter and guitarist for the very popular bluegrass group, Bluegrass Fever.

But, over the years, he has been a member of many bands, playing ’50s pop, Celtic, country, rock, and bluegrass.

He’ll be drawing on all that experience as he entertains at this show.

The Chemainus Community Band mixes big band, jazz and Dixieland into a tasty musical evening with an emphasis on fun.

The event also features a silent auction, so take a look while enjoying snacks and drinks. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. at 9814 Willow St.

Tickets are $10 each, with kids under 12 by donation.
