No flu shot? Mask up

As of Dec. 1, people who have not had a flu shot this season are asked to wear a mask when visiting provincial health-care facilities.

As of Dec. 1, people who have not had a flu shot this season are asked to wear a mask when visiting provincial health-care facilities. Provincial health-care facilities include hospitals, long-term care homes, public health units and outpatient clinics.

The flu vaccine is free to people intending to visit a facility. It is also free for children between the ages of six months and five years, seniors 65 years and older, pregnant women and Aboriginal people, as well as individuals with chronic health conditions and their household contacts and caregivers.
