St. John Ambulance in the Cowichan Valley is looking for volunteers to join the brigade.

Anyone interested is invited to an open house which will take place on Thursday, Oct. 6 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the St. John Ambulance offices in Duncan at Suite 205, 169 Craig St., above Bucky’s Sport Shop.

The organization’s highly trained medical first responders are the first on-scene for event medical emergencies. But it takes more than that to provide a valuable community service.
