On Friday, Sept. 29, the Osborne Bay Pub at the Crofton Hotel will be alive with authentic Cuban music when El Grupo Cubano - Brisas del Palmar brings their Vancouver Island tour to Cowichan.
El Grupo Cubano - Brisas del Palmar is an internationally acclaimed group hailing from Santiago de Cuba.
The group has received many distinctions including: Best new group 2002 Festival of Singers of the Americas; 2001-2002 Audience choice International Festival of Boleros; and 2003 best trio in Latin America International Festival of Boleros.
“Expert musicianship, riveting harmonies — this group has it all,” say promoters. The show starts at 8:30 p.m., and there’s a $15 cover charge to get in.
