CWAV Society continues to raise money for second-stage housing for women, with and without children.

According to the hardworking group, “these vulnerable families need supportive housing while they settle their affairs. Attending our event and bidding on silent and live auction items is a fun way to contribute to affordable housing in the Cowichan Valley.”

Festivities start at 6 p.m. for cocktails (cash bar), the opening of the silent auction and the purchase of tickets for several draws. Dinner is at 7 p.m., the live auction at 8 p.m. and music and dancing to Hey! Mr DJ from 9-11 p.m. The silent auction closes at 9:30 p.m. Draws are made between 10 and 10:30 p.m.

Tickets to the ball are $100 each or you can purchase a table for eight at the discounted price of $750. Purchasers of individual tickets will receive a tax receipt for $40. The tax receipt for a table is $280. Tickets, table tickets or tickets for clients can also be purchased by cheque, cash or credit card at CWAV’s new office at 246 Evans St., Duncan, V9L 1P8. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Mail cheques to the office or call 250-748-7000 and they can process your credit card over the phone.

As they get silent and live auction items, they will be posted on the auction site and a programme of items will be available at the event https://m.biddingforgood.com/auctions/286185273 People will be able to bid on auction items online between Oct. 13 and 27. The high bid online will become the opening bid at the event on Oct. 28.
