A little section of Duncan is about to get a little less ugly.

Beginning Monday, June 19, public works crews will be installing some new grass along the railway tracks between the Ingram Street crossing north to the city boundary, which is roughly across from the firehall.

“This will be a huge improvement to this corridor which has become unsightly over the years,” said a notice issued by Catherine Macey, executive director of the Downtown Duncan Business Improvement Association.

Parking along Duncan Street and in the paid lot north of Ingram Street will be effected.

Work will continue until June 26 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
