Cowichan citizens voting in the Nanaimo-North Cowichan riding are encouraged to attend an all-candidates meeting on Thursday, April 27 at the Seniors Hall in Crofton.

Expected to attend are: Alana DeLong (BC Liberal Party), P. Anna Paddon (Independent), the incumbent Doug Routley (NDP), and Lia Versaevel (Green Party).

“All the candidates will briefly introduce themselves and state what they feel are the social, health, environmental, and economic priorities in this 2017 election,” said Carol Donnelly of the Crofton Seniors Society. “Introductions will be followed by questions, some previously submitted and some coming directly from the audience.”

Each candidate will be asked to respond to each question.

The meeting will wind up with candidates briefly summerizing what they and their party will achieve if elected.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. and will run until 8:30 p.m. The hall is at the foot of Joan Avenue.
