Tomorrow’s the day that utilities crews will take over Station Street, Canada Avenue and Government Street in order to install hydro, phone and internet cables.

Traffic congestion is expected from May 10 and will continue until the completion of work around June 20.

Working hours are from 7 a.m. through until 4 p.m. on weekdays only.

“The work will start at Canada Avenue and Station Street then proceed down the west side of Canada Avenue, cross Government Street to the south side of Government Street, proceed west for a short length then north across Government Street and terminate,” said a work notification issued by the City of Duncan’s administrators.

Flaggers will facilitate lane closures, median cross-overs, and temporary road closures so be on the lookout.

“The City of Duncan expects this work to increase congestion in the area during construction. It is suggested that travellers find alternate routes where possible,” said the work notice.
