Fire at Duncan industrial park extinguished quickly

Recycling centre blaze didn’t appear to have effected any buildings

Duncan volunteer firefighters extinguished a blaze in a Boys Road industrial park on Wednesday night.

The fire at the Coast Environmental metal recycling centre was reported around 9 p.m. It appeared to be on a pile of items, and no buildings seemed to be effected. Firefighters had most of the fire out quickly, but remained on the scene for some time after.
