Crofton firefighters responded to a house fire at 1538 Morgan St. with three engines at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
Nobody appeared to have been injured in the blaze, which saw a big cloud of smoke billowing above houses in the small community.
The smoke drew numerous neighbours, who watched the Crofton firefighters as they doused the roofline with water as smoke poured from two upper windows, then cut into the roof.
