The 37th annual Duncan-Cowichan Summer Festival Grand Parade is less than two weeks away so if you plan to enter, it’s time to get on that bandwagon.
Saturday, July 16 is the big day but there is room for only 50 entries and several spaces are confirmed already. The deadline to be included is Friday, July 8.
There are a variety of ways to enter: commercial and non-commercial floats, vehicles or walking groups, marching band, drill/dance team, animal entry, or a themed entry. Remember, too, when push comes to shove for places, a decorated float has a better chance of inclusion than an undecorated one.
