Bike to Work Week runs May 29-June 2 and there are events hosted by area bike shops and supporters every day for those who participate.

Bike to Work Week runs May 29-June 2 and there are events hosted by area bike shops and supporters every day for those who participate.

Get ready to have your bike tuned up and to fill your belly with treats.

On Monday and Tuesday mornings, from 6:30 a.m. through 8:30 a.m., Cycle Therapy is hosting a station outside their Duncan Street location. Join them for a bike tune-up and a treat from the Garage cafe.

Also on Tuesday evening from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Sportsplex, Velofix mobile bike repair will be on hand to tune bikes up.

On Wednesday and Thursday during the same timeframe, Experience Cycle will be set up outside Power Lunch on Canada Avenue and will tune up bikes. Power Lunch will offer the treats.

Also on Thursday, a tune-up and bike ride on Cobble Hill mountain runs from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Treats will be available. At 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Pacific Homes and Truss in Cobble Hill is hosting another tuneup and barbecue for riders.

On Friday, also between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., Cowichan Cycles joins the fun at their Trans Canada Highway location with tune-ups and treats as well.
