One airlifted after motorcycle collision

A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital in Victoria after a collision on the Trans-Canada Highway south of Chemainus on Saturday morning.

A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital in Victoria after a collision on the Trans-Canada Highway south of Chemainus on Saturday morning.

According to the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP, the incident at the intersection of the highway and Fuller Lake Road involved a Honda motorcycle and a Subaru Impreza. The driver of the motorbike was taken by ambulance to the parking lot of Fuller Lake Arena, then transferred to a medevac helicopter and taken to hospital.

 

The occupants of the Subaru did not report any injuries.

A collision analyst and police reconstruction services attended the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
