People advised to stay out of water at Kin Beach in Chemainus

“Swimming and wading are not recommended,” North Cowichan says on its Facebook page.

The Municipality of North Cowichan has announced that, according to Island Health, Kin Beach in Chemainus has bacteriology counts exceeding acceptable limits for swimming.

“Swimming and wading are not recommended,” North Cowichan says on its Facebook page.

The beach will be tested regularly, so stay tuned for updates.
