Kayden Robert Tustian has been located and is home safe.

The North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP detachment had been seeking the public’s assistance in locating the 22-year-old.

Tustian left his residence in Cowichan Bay at approximately 9:30 a.m. on April 1 without any indication of where he might be going.

His family and friends actively looked for Tustian, but could not turn up any clues as to where he was.

The police checked and eliminated Island hospitals.

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Krista Hobday said it was out of character for Tustian to not be in contact with his family.

The police officer confirmed Tuesday that Tustian had returned home Monday, April 10 during the supper hour.

“The North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP would like to thank the public and media outlets for their assistance in this matter,” she said.
