The Cowichan Valley Regional District’s Meade Creek Recycling Centre relocated to a new temporary site on Tuesday.

Coun. Bob Day, who acts as the Town of Lake Cowichan’s representative on the CVRD board, explained to council at the last public works committee meeting that the move was necessary to make room for the work of upgrading the recycling centre.

A temporary site with all current garbage and recycling services will be located at 8800 North Shore Rd.

It will be open for the duration of construction.
