Amendment Bylaw No. 4495
Notice is hereby given by the Cowichan Valley Regional District that the Board of Directors will consider 1st and 2nd reading of Works and Servicing Bylaw No. 4494, applicable to all lands within Electoral Areas A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and I, and Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 4495, applicable to all lands within Electoral Area H, at the regular Board meeting on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. Persons who believe their interest in property is affected by the proposed Bylaws may participate by electronic means or in-person.
PURPOSE OF THE PROPOSED BYLAW
Works and Servicing Bylaw No. 4494
Applicable to all lands within Electoral Areas A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and I
The purpose of proposed Bylaw No. 4494 is to amend CVRD Bylaw No. 4331 – Electoral Area Works and Servicing Bylaw, 2022 by:
- Amending the definition of “community water system” by removing item “c” which refers to Schedule A (Water Utilities);
- Removing Schedule A (Water Utilities) in its entirety;
- Amending the reference to Bylaw No. 4267 and replacing it with reference to Bylaw No. 4483.
Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 4495
Applicable to all lands within Electoral Area H
The purpose of proposed Bylaw No. 4495 is to amend the Electoral Area H – North Oyster/Diamond Zoning Bylaw No. 1020, 1987, by:
- Amending the definition of “community water system”

A copy of the proposed Bylaws, along with other material that may be considered by the Board in arriving at a decision, are available for public inspection. These materials may be examined at the Regional District Land Use Services Department office, 175 Ingram Street, Duncan, BC, from September 28, 2023, to October 10, 2023, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding statutory holidays.
