Proposed Woodlot Licence Plan for Woodlot Licence #W2122

Notice is hereby given that the Ts’uubaa-asatx First Nation, licensee for Woodlot Licence W2122, will make a proposed draft Woodlot Licence Plan (WLP) available for public viewing. This WLP has been developed under the Forest and Range Practices Act. The woodlot is comprised of five units, four located near Cowichan Lake and the other near the Cowichan River.

The WLP shows the areas where timber harvesting will be avoided, modified or allowed. The plan also includes information on results and strategies designed for the maintenance and protection of resource values in the plan area. The term of the WLP is ten years.

The plan is available for review prior to the determination of the District Manager of the Ministry of Forests South Island Natural Resource District and can be made available to interested parties. The plan will be made available during regular business hours from April 11th to May 13th. To request a copy of the WLP please call 250-337-5588 or email brian@econ.ca.
