Albert Zoltan Viczko

February 2, 1925 – August 13, 2016 Albert was born in Saskatchewan. He moved to Youbou, B.C., in his twenties and worked in the mill until his retirement. His favourite pastimes were dancing, bowling, curling, and camping, but his most notable talent was his handiwork – building and fixing things around the house, and making toys for his daughter and grandchildren. Albert was cheerful, social, and patient, and he taught two generations how to ride a bike, build a snowman, and play a game for the sheer joy of it. Saturday was hockey night and always included intense discussions of the game. He loved Christmas, spending time with family and friends, and offering advice on cooking the turkey. Albert was caring and considerate. He was always there for his family, and he was devoted to his wife when she became ill. His great wish was to remain in his house until the end, and he did just that. Albert is predeceased by his wife, Rose, and survived by his daughter, Terry (Peter), and grandchildren Tess (Derrick) and Alex. Thanks to Michael V for supporting Albert when Terry couldn’t be there. At Albert’s request, there will be no service. If you wish, you may make a donation to your favourite charity. We will all miss him greatly. Love you, Papa.
