It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Donna was born in Chemanius BC, the Eldest daughter of Donald Andrew Shaw and Margaret Sinclaire Shaw.
She will be remembered by her son Travis Shaw, grandson Wyatt, Brother Ian Shaw (Kathy) and Nieces Erin (Ben, Aila, Kaya), Lora (Jeff) and many friends.
Donna’s great love was the outdoors, her family and dog Neika. She often was found with a fishing rod in hand at her favorite spot Reinheart Lake. Sharing fishing stories, drinking wine and lots of Laughter with her friend Jim.Her spice for life, rich sarcasm, feistiness and gift for saying it as is, will be missed by many.
I’ve finished life’s chores assigned to me.
So put me on a boat and headed out to sea.
Please send along my fishing pole.
For I’ve been invited to the fishing hole.
Where every day is a day to fish.
To fill your heart with every wish.
Don’t worry or feel sad for me.
I’m fishing with the master of the sea.
We will miss each other for awhile.
But you will come and bring your smile.
That won’t be long, you will see.
Till we’re together you and me.
To all those that think of me.
Be happy as I go out to sea.
If others wonder why I’m missin!
Just tell ‘em I’ve gone fishin.
