With sadness we announce the passing of Gareth Goodger-Hill, beloved husband of Carol, on June 9, 2016. Gareth was a professional photographer and teacher, who loved photographing landscapes. He also loved his family, travel, adventure, his sailboat, and to tell a good (or bad) joke. He volunteered in this community for Lifeline, Friendly Phones, and RCMP Speedwatch. Gareth was born in Montreal in 1938 and moved to the Cowichan Valley in 2004. He is survived by Carol, his wife for 50 years, his daughter Kyenta (Claude) and two grandchildren, Cate and Zoe. He also leaves two sisters, Jetta and Nola in Ontario, a brother Trevor in Quebec, and two nephews Sean (Lesley) and Marc (Tatiana).
It was Gareth’s wish that no service be held. In his memory, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
