Gavin Trevor Swan, 23, who spent most of his life in his beloved Mill Bay, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2016 from a brain tumour. He was surrounded by family and friends. Gavin loved all aspects of life, including writing and playing music, reading history and philosophy and debating anything with anyone. Gavin was blessed with a wonderfully diverse group of friends, many of whom he had known his entire life. Gavin’s friends and family gave him tremendous support and comfort as he bravely dealt with his illness. For that we are forever grateful. We will treasure every day that Gavin was able to spend with us. He was a true blessing and he will be in our hearts forever. A Celebration of Gavin’s life was held at noon on Sunday November 13th in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria.
