John died of a heat stroke in the early morning hours of August 12th while on vacation in Prague. He had fought deteriorating health for almost twenty years but never gave up in the face of adversity.
A gentle giant, compassionate, kind and patient to the end, he had a never-ending curiosity about this world. He will be deeply missed by his wife Yolande, his children Aerin, Caitlin, Keera, Kevin and Simon, his sisters Judy and Roz as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held on September 20th at 1:30 pm at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 5800 Church Rd, Duncan.
