Helmut was born in Germany, the youngest of ten children. His sister Herta and many nieces and nephews in Germany survive him.
He came to Canada in 1957 and married his wife Gisela. They had two daughters Peggy (Harry), Linda (Andy) and two grandsons, Isaac and Nicholas. He will be missed very much.
Helmut was a charter member of the Paul Harris Society and Rotary meant a lot to him. He made lots of friends during his membership with the Island BMW Club, and enjoyed many tours with them.
If it were up to him, Helmut would say, “I did it my way”, take his BMW motorcycle and go for one last ride. He is now gone, but not forgotten. His love will always be with us.
