We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Marie M. Corbett at the age of 93 in Cowichan District Hospital.
She was predeceased by her husband Bob (2008), her brother and five sisters.
Mom was born in southern Alberta and moved in her late teens to Vancouver where she met Dad in 1942 and they were married in 1944.
Marie was dearly loved by son Rob, daughter Margaret, grandson Kris, wife Monja and great-granddaughter Klaire.
She will be missed by her many neighbours and friends including Jane and Paula.
We truly lost one of the best ones in her passing.
Mom was a fantastic cook, homemaker, seamstress and so much more.
Mom and Dad moved to Cobble Hill/Cowichan Bay in 1976.
Together they traveled to numerous destinations off shore. In later years they loved golfing and bridge.
A short graveside service will be held at the Shawnigan Lake Cemetery on Saturday, July 8 at 3 pm. An open house at a later date to be announced.
