It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Vance announce his passing on May 17, 2017 at the age of 63.

Bob was born in Vancouver, February 13, 1954 to Earl and Cecile Vance. Bob lived on the Sunshine coast for many years and has many lifelong lasting friendships.

Bob attained a certificate in Small Engine Mechanics and Power Engineering and worked at the Howe Sound P/P for 25 years. He retired in September, 2015 and looked forward to spending time sailing the seas.

Bob has now joined a band of angels and is dividing his time between selecting soulful tunes and playing guitar and drums.

Bob had a heart of gold, a great love of music, fishing, sailing and all things mechanical.

Bob is survived by his wife Meritas (Junhua), his mother Cecile (Bill) Ingham, siblings Martin (Eloise), Denise (Dave) and Lillian (Jeff), by his nieces and nephews Lisa, Dione, Sarah, Dayna, Dawson, Carolyn and Steven and by his 3 step-brothers Ted (Darlene), Art (Karen), Jim (Debbie) and families. Bob is predeceased by his father Earl Vance and nephew Kurt.

Celebration of Life will take place Friday, May 26th at HW Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre at 2 pm.
