It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who died peacefully aged 91, at Cowichan District Hospital after a brief stay at Cairnsmore Place. Rosalind joins her late husband, Edward James, and her siblings, Harry and Lillian.
She is survived by her daughter Meryl and son in-law Mark, her grandsons, Bryan (Jennifer), Andrew (Leah), Brent and Adrian and her great grandchildren, Charlotte, Kaiden and Henry. Her energy and selfless love will be dearly missed by her family, relatives and friends from British Columbia, Ontario and England.
Rosalind and Edward, along with baby Meryl, emigrated to Toronto from England by ship in 1957, where they lived until retirement. This took them to British Columbia, along with Meryl, Mark and family, where they lived happily before Edward’s untimely passing from cancer 9 months later. Rosalind continued to enjoy a long and active life with her family and friends.
A celebration of Rosalind’s life will be held Saturday, August 6 at 2 pm at the Sylvan United Church, located at 985 Shawnigan Lake - Mill Bay Road, Mill Bay, BC, with a reception to follow on site.
