Shirley passed away peacefully at the age of 82 at Cairnsmore Place, Duncan, BC. Shirley was predeceased by her beloved husband Gary and her siblings Gordon, Alfred, George, Mable and Virginia. She is survived by her children Peter (Heidi), Mark (Suzanne), Jeff and Wendy (Don); Grandchildren Sara (Chris), Elizabeth, Nicholas, Matthew, Jenna, Amber, Maddie and her sisters Phyllis (Dave), Hazel (Jerry), Mary Lou and many nieces, nephews and their children.
Born in Powassan, Ontario Shirley will be remembered as patient, loving and kind by all who knew her; always looking for the positive and good in everything and everyone.
A memorial service will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel, 187 Trunk Road in Duncan on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be welcome.
