It is with profound sadness that we announce that Stephen “Greg” Ward passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017. Greg, as he preferred to be known, was born in Victoria, B.C. His family consisted of his ex-wife Sharon and her children and her husband Bill, to whom Greg called his husband-in-law, with tongue in cheek. Greg had an amazing personality. His career as a truck driver brought him into many life situations that constituted many stories over the years and he loved to tell his stories.
Greg loved his “toy” an SSR that rivaled any vehicle out there. It was his baby and he took loving care of it. He loved his home and yard; always in the improvement stage by planting flowers of all kinds and colours.
He had his steady morning coffee buddies and enjoyed each day with them. He was an avid book reader, loved European soccer, and building a fire in his fireplace at home at the end of the day.
A Celebration of Life will be held
at the Cobble Hill Community Hall,
3550 Watson Avenue, Cobble Hill, B.C.,
on Saturday, July 8, 2017,
from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Food and beverages will be provided.
