It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Theresa at home in Duncan, BC on April 26, 2017 at the age of 53 following a stroke on April 18, 2017.
Theresa is survived by her loving partner Mark Docherty, daughter Brandie Arkell (Jason), granddaughters MacKenzie and Emma, grandson Levi, son Beau Noble (Karissa), brothers David Lanz (Linda) and Paul Lanz (Anne), sister Marjorie Leroux (Ewen), numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and dear friends.
Theresa was predeceased by her parents Frank and Betty Lanz and her brother Ronald Lanz.
She was born in Medicine Hat, AB where she resided until she moved to the Cowichan Valley with her young family in 2008. She met Mark in 2011 and the couple experienced the happiest years of their lives. The family is grateful for the love and happiness they shared. They had planned to be married in early 2018.
The family would like to thank the many friends that came to visit Theresa during her final days and for the support and kindness they so freely gave. To her friend Heather Morris, a very special thank you for the excellent care and comfort you provided for Theresa. It will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
