Children should be children, not speaking to the world

Re: Murray Cantelon’s letter to the editor “Stop instilling fear into children”.

Thank you Murray for your letter, I too have concerns that young voices speaking to the world (i.e. Greta Thunberg) on climate change will go a long way to encouraging children at too young an age to grow up far too quickly.

It’s always heartwarming to hear a young person occasionally speak passionately and succinctly on a topic, any topic, BUT, enough is enough, please let’s go back to encouraging children to make the most of their childhood, by giving them a well balanced, unbiased education so that they grow into a well rounded, educated young adult.

Otherwise we are bringing up a know-it-all generation, and we already have enough of those who are already adults.
