ICF has had long enough

My wife and I are of the opinion that if the general public wanted the old E&N line reinstated, it would be running by now. If railroad business on Vancouver Island is as viable as Island Corridor Foundation would have us believe, E&N would still be running the service today.

It certainly appears to us that ICF is trying desperately to change the minds of those of us that have the good common sense to know that construction costs almost always have a bad habit of escalating and inevitably grossly exceeding original budget numbers. In addition to being an antiquated mode of transport, it most likely would require taxpayers to heavily subsidize it each and every year for the remainder of its life.

Would the CVRD like to weigh in on how many years taxpayers have been financing this marketing campaign to change our minds to the tune of half a million dollars per year?

Please stop flogging this dead horse and wasting our money!
