In response to Erwin MacDermid’s letter on Valley air quality my I point yet again to the big elephant in the room. The one no one in power has the guts to admit to.

The major air polluter in the Cowichan Valley is the Crofton Mill. It was named by the province as one of the top 10 air polluters in B.C.

Nothing is ever done about it and it’s getting worse. Before we blame a few folks trying to save a few bucks on outrageously expensive hydro by heating with wood let’s fix this huge problem first.
