My Valley I wonder why list

First, I concur with Mr. Hufnagl (Sept. 27, Citizen), why do we need a $15 million transit facility and why the need to go form 30 to 50 buses when most of them are a third full (if not empty)? I also agree with Mr. Dumont (Oct. 4 and Nov. 1, Citizen) about salaries and benefits and waste of CVRD taxpayers’ money. Finally, Mr. Whynacht (Nov. 3, Citizen), great wish list, but who will listen?

Now, why do we need to spend millions on bridges, because when the big one comes along, what will happen to the highway up Bamberton (split rock) and Goldstream Park; how much rock will be moved and surely the last place you want to be driving at that time!

Why that expensive pump station on the highway? Why was the roundabout on Beverly ever built, only to be butchered two years later? Why is the Beverly project turning into a career; do we really need another roundabout, bike lane, crosswalk, etc.?

Why isn’t the Rona building not looked at for the RCMP headquarters? Why are leaves blown off a walking path in Bright Angel Park? Why does B.C. Hydro management drive around in $40,000 SUVs?

There are a lot of ‘whys’ in this valley!
