Pimlotts thrilled with T.W.’s Chronicle
Just wanted to thank Tom Paterson for his story about James Pimlott and the Pimlott Bros. Royal Oak Grocery store in the April 5 edition of the Citizen.
You made my 92-year-old veteran father (Norm Pimlott) very happy. He is the last surviving child of the James and Louisa Pimlott Family, homesteaders in Royal Oak. They are two of the people shown in the article standing outside the store in 1902. He actually built that store and it is still standing. He was the original Postmaster for Royal Oak.
Just wanted you to know that you made this veteran (and his daughter) very happy. Thank you.
