Let us compare Rio with Chemainus.
Rio has bad air quality; so does Chemainus, especially when Crofton mill blows our way or the smudge pot burning of garden refuse gets underway.
Rio has unsafe swimming water; so does Chemainus. Kin Beach has been closed most of the summer; I wonder why is that? Rio can have unsafe drinking water; so does Chemainus, yet again.
I hope North Cowichan is getting a discount on all the yellow signs they are spreading about town. It has to be cheaper I suppose than fixing the problems?
With all the money North Cowichan is saving, why don’t management give themselves a nice big raise?
