Support local businesses to support charities
With Christmas coming up, there has been a lot of hype and interest about shopping online.
There are many reasons to shop locally, including local employment and supporting the local economy. Another of the benefits of shopping local is that these local businesses contribute thousands of dollars every year to support local charities. Some of these charities include Boys and Girls clubs, food banks, youth sports, helping people with disabilities, the homeless, women in distress, search and rescue, and many more.
Without these businesses, service clubs such as ours would not get the donations required to keep the many programs going. Please remember this when shopping this Christmas season and throughout the year.
