Thank you to those who helped Dad

I am so glad to say that caring people still survive in Cowichan Valley.

On election day the people who were working at the polling station rescued my very confused father who was found wandering trying to remember why he was there.

Because of their care and helpful intervention a gentleman and his wife found Dad’s car and drove him and his car home under difficult circumstances. (Dad being very confused and not very helpful.) They stayed to make sure the neighbours were available to keep an eye on him until I could get over to the Island before returning to their job at the polling station.

Neighbours called an ambulance and Dad was taken to this hospital and is now recovering from bacterial pneumonia.

It is great to know that a community still exists where people will put themselves out to help someone in need with no thought but to make sure that person is safe.

It makes one have faith that there is still that part of the human race that has a sense of community with caring and selflessness in this extremely self-contained world.

I cannot thank these people enough!
