Trudeau must keep promise on Indigenous rights
Trudeau, you promised to implement UNDRIP. Why haven’t you?
Reconcilliation with our First Nations will truly happen when we adopt and put in action the UNDRIP, the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous People, respecting their land and territories and prior informed consent for energy projects affecting them.
It is essential that Trudeau adopt and implement this legislation now so Canada can move forward in truly just relationship with the original owners of this land. Please keep this promise.
