Who needs midway when we have Crofton Road?
I had a hankering to go on the wood roller coaster at the PNE for the last few years. This year the dream came true. A good time was had by all. What with the ferries, hotels and meals etc. the old debit card took a hit but it was worth every shekel.
When I got home I loaded up the grandchildren in the sedan and drove from Westholme road to the Crofton mill. I realized that I could have spent my vacation on that stretch of road instead of on that old wooden roller coaster. The drive was gut wrenching and totally chilling. There were twists, turns, drops, thrills and chills. You want to get off but you can’t. I think I even spotted a family of gophers residing in one of the many potholes.
