Kerry Park Islanders knocked out in five

The Kerry Park Islanders fell 3-0 to the Victoria Cougars March 16 at Archie Browning Arena. The loss ended their 2017 playoff run.

The shots were almost even — 36 to 31 in favour of Victoria — and the Islanders had five power play opportunities but they were unable to find the back of the net.

The Isles had beaten the Saanich Braves four games to two in the first round of the playoffs to set up the matchup. It was the first time in five years they had won a single playoff game, let alone a series.
