Duncan product and Queen Margaret’s School graduate Caleigh Coels won the softball team’s leadership award at Durham College’s annual athletic awards banquet in Oshawa, Ont. earlier this month.
Coels helped the Durham Lords win the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association championship, and also participated in the national tournament in Saskatchewan.
Coels played centrefield for the Lords in all 23 conference games, scoring 10 runs and batting in another 10, with a .338 on-base percentage.
After three years with the Lords, Coels is graduating from the Durham College business program this year.
