Cowichan Bulldogs host Bighill camp this week, registration for spring football still open

The Cowichan Bulldogs are hosting their annual football camp with Canadian Football League star Adam Bighill this weekend, and registration is open for the upcoming spring season.

The camp will take place at McAdam Park in Duncan on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will be provided on Saturday, and all participants will receive a camp T-shirt.

The camp is open to players born between 2005 and 2011. Fees are $50 for registered Bulldogs and $60 for players from outside the Cowichan Valley Football Association.

Bighill played for the BC Lions from 2011 to 2016, then went to the NFL’s New Orleans Saints in 2017 before returning to the CFL with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2018. He is a five-time CFL all-star and was named the Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 2015 and 2018.

Registration remains open for the spring 2019 season, also for players born between 2005 and 2011.
