Cowichan Flickers play to 1-1 draw with Mariners in VILFHA

Kyla Toljander scored the lone goal for the Cowichan Flickers last Saturday as they tied 1-1 with the Mariners in Div. 1 of the Vancouver Island Ladies Field Hockey Association.

The VILFHA returned to action last weekend following a week off for Thanksgiving and the Bridgman Cup tournament for high school teams.

In Div. 2, the Cowichan Cardinals were beaten 2-0 by Lynx II, and in Div. 3, Hayley Picard had a hat trick and Jamie Court also scored as the Cowichan Kestrels defeated the Rebels Renegades 4-1.

In the last games before the break, on Oct. 1, Jill Thompson scored for the Cardinals as they tied the Rebels Blue Jays 1-1 in Div. 2, and in Div. 3, the Kestrels got goals from Court, Sharyn Higginson and Karey Fiege as they were edged 4-3 by the Pirates.
