After spending the last two seasons with the Cowichan Valley Capitals, forward Ayden MacDonald will continue his hockey career in USports with the Brock University Badgers.

As a 20-year-old last season, MacDonald finished second on the Caps in goals with 24 and points with 52, and also led the team with 75 penalty minutes in 54 games, making a big jump after scoring 15 goals and 28 points in 58 games the previous season.

MacDonald wrapped up his BCHL career with 44 goals, 49 assists and 93 points in 166 games. The Langley native was acquired from the Victoria Grizzlies during the 2015 off-season.

MacDonald joins fellow former Cap Skylar Pacheco on the Badgers roster. A defenceman, Pacheco played for Cowichan in 2014-15, finishing second in both points and assists, after three years with the Prince George Spruce Kings and is now in his third season with Brock.
