As the 2017 box lacrosse season approaches, the Cowichan Thunder are looking for more players for its female peewee and novice teams.

Players born in 2005 and 2006 are eligible for the peewee division, and players born in 2007 and 2008 can play novice. Girls born in 2009 and 2010 are eligible to play on co-ed tyke teams.

The box lacrosse season runs from April to June, and possibly into July for peewee and older. Practices are twice a week, with games on Saturdays and some Sundays. The peewee team will travel to a tournament on the Lower Mainland, and both teams will have exhibition games on the Island against teams from the Lower Mainland.
