VIDEO: Host Dynamics are dynamite at Orca

Club captures seven all-around gold medals

Duncan Dynamics gymnasts had excellent results when the team hosted the annual Orca Invitational meet on April 22 and 23, including all-around gold medals for Brooklyn Stobbe, Sarah Carson, Cloey Jewkes, Jillian Telfer, Julia Doehler and Maia Evans.

Stobbe finished first all-around in the Junior Olympic 8 division, the highest level contested at the Orca, also placing first on bars, beam and floor, and second on vault. Teammate Tahara Brown placed second all-around, including first on vault, and second on bars, beam and floor.

In JO 7, Trystinna Bailey finished third all-around (first on beam and floor), Gabrielle Austin was fourth all-around (third on beam), and Elley Blandin placed seventh all-around (third on floor).

In JO 6 (2004-2006), Sophie Chernykh placed fifth all-around (first on floor, second on beam). In JO 6 (2004-2006), Carson finished first all-around (first on vault and floor, third on beam), Cheyenne MacKeil was third all-around (first on beam, second on bars), Weilee David finished sixth all-around (second on beam), Amelia Cannon placed seventh all-around, and Sarah Hill was ninth all-around (second on floor).

In JO 5, Avaling David placed fourth all-around (second on floor), Khrystyna Yaremyn was sixth all-around (first on beam and floor), Charcey Erickson finished seventh all-around (second on vault), and Priya Dhami was eighth all-around.

In JO 4 (2007-2009), Jewkes placed first all-around (first on vault and beam, second on floor). In JO 4 (2006), Telfer finished first all-around (first on vault and floor, second on bars and beam) and Caydence Sampson placed third all-around (second on vault, third on bars and beam).

In JO 3 (2008), Shelby Huebnig took second all-around (first on floor, second on vault and bars). In JO 3 (2007), Doehler was first all-around (first on vault and floor, second on beam). In JO 3 (2006), Nirva Megevand was fifth all-around (third on bars) and Danika Adelborg was sixth all-around (third on vault and floor). In JO 3 (2004-2005), Maia Evans placed first all-around (first on vault, bars, beam and floor).

In the JO 2 (2009-2010) division, Honey White received gold all-around (gold on vault, bars, beam and floor), as did Emily Peart (gold on vault, bars, beam and floor), Lucy Healey (gold on vault, bars, beam and floor) and Mya Boyden (gold on vault, beam and floor, silver on bars).

In JO 2 (2008), Inez Londono received gold all-around (gold on vault, bars, beam and floor), and so did Norah Dodd (gold on vault, bars, beam and floor) and Cedar Bryant (gold on vault, beam and floor, silver on bars).

All three Interclub gymnasts also took gold all-around: Sydney Brittain (gold on vault, bars, beam and floor), Calliope Jewkes (gold on vault, beam and floor, silver on bars), and Chloe Power (gold on bars, beam, and floor, silver on vault).

And in Performance Plus, all-around gold went to Annika MacDonald (gold on vault, bars, beam and floor), Kenna Martin (gold on vault, bars, beam and floor), Shayla Symes (gold on vault, bars, beam and floor), Aimee Craig (gold on vault, beam and floor, silver on bars), Maggie Edwards (gold on vault, bars, beam and floor), Camryn Butler (gold on vault, bars, beam and floor), Rebekah Tallboy (gold on vault, bars, beam and floor), Zoey Spence (gold on vault, bars, beam and floor), Danielle Kelly (gold on vault, bars, beam and floor), Aliza Lane (gold on vault, beam and floor, silver on bars) and Marion Quinn (gold on vault, beam and floor, silver on bars). Gwen Mackenzie received silver all-around (gold on vault, beam and floor, silver on bars).
