Ballet Victoria's A Midsummer Night's Dream comes to the Cowichan Performing Arts Centre Saturday, March 11 at 7:30 p.m.
According to Paul Destrooper, the troupe's artistic director, the show is actually a combination of an interpretation of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream and other new works.
"It is a great performance. The program opens with two new works: the first one to Bach's Cello Suites, with cellist Leslie Atherton, revolves around a park bench where people meet, rest, play and fall in love. The second work is a premiere by Peter Quanz, Luminous; it's simply spellbinding."
