Christmas Village display in Youbou delights

Entry is by donation, with proceeds going to cancer care in Cowichan.

Donna and Dennis Jones’s Christmas Village at Cassy’s Coffee House in Youbou is delighting young and old this holiday season.

It has become a tradition that every year, the couple take over the back room of the coffee shop for their hundreds of pieces, in a display that runs the gamut from a parade, to city streets, to waterfront. There’s a carousel, popcorn maker, tree lot, and everything else you can imagine, all in miniature.

Entry is by donation, with proceeds going to cancer care in Cowichan.

Visit Cassy’s from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 15-18. Dec. 22-24 and Dec. 29-31.

Check out the Gazette online for more photos and video.
