More than 20,000 people gathered in Ladysmith on Nov. 27 for the Ladysmith Light-Up, the beginning of the Christmas season for many people. The event included a long parade with entries from all over Vancouver Island, the official lighting of the town's massive display of Christmas lights, and lots of other entertainment.
